title:{2008 2nd National RoboPreneur Carnival}

Mr Wee planned and organised the 2nd National RoboPreneur Carnival on 23 May 2007 with 67 teams from 19 schools.

There was a total of 2 types of games; the Maze Robot Challenge and the Legged Sumo Robot Challenge.

After brainstorming for 8 weeks, Mr Wee came out with the game play for the Maze Challenge. For this gameplay, the robot (made of lego parts) needs to carry a red ball (which can be found in the NXT box) onboard to clear a certain distance in the maze and finally, to deposit it in a box.

The other part of the game required the robot to deposit blue balls in 2 specific locations. Mr Wee used rubber bands instead of wooden walls to disrupt the robot's datum, as robots normally use wooden walls for datum in order to have an acurate position.

Also, Mr Wee came out with the Triple Knockout System for the Legged Sumo Robot Challenge for this competition.

This competition does not stop at competing with other schools for awards, it also consist of gracious professionalism that Mr Wee demonstrated. Despite the chaotic situation due to enquires regarding the mix up of the maze robot tabulation, not only did Mr Wee not panick, he also surprised all by apologising to all present and acknowledging the mistake of his team. He next announced the Fastest Maze Robot and promised the team that they will be getting the trophies and medals that they deserved. The most impressive part was that all the extra money to re-make the medals was taken out of Mr Wee's pocket without a single complain or resentment.

title:{2008 World Vex Challenge @ LA, USA}

This year unlike the rest, Mr Wee collaborated with Anderson Junior College for this oversea competition; with 5 ADSS students, 2 ADSS teachers, 6 AJC students and 1 AJC teacher in the team.

His visions and strategies for robotics had impressed many judges to want to learn more from him and the team. The robot which he 'controlled' was always "spotted" by every opponent on the playfield. The strategies that this colourful robot displays were always different from matches to matches. Opponents were always on a lookout for this colorful tiny but powerful on the playfield for its brillant and accurate strategies that it's 'controller' will use.

Further on, Mr Wee was also complimented by one of the judges as 'a rare genius in robotics strategy.' This team not only demostrate robot excellence on the battlefield, also they have shown outstanding teamwork and presentation skills.
Thus, this team won our country the most prestigious award;
The Excellent Award (High School).

title:{2007 Asia Pacific Vex Challenge}

Mr Wee Gark Kung lead 2 Vex Robotics Teams to Korea for Asia Pacific Vex Challenge. The Team comprises of Christopher, Yi Rong, Troy, Rui Lin, Cheryl and Mrs Eileen Tan.

The teams collaborated with Rulang Primary School; forming 4 Singapore teams although 2 are from ADSS and 2 from Rulang. The 4 teams colloborated in terms of strategy, skills, etc. It always be a win for a team, is a win for all.

The reason is simple, we go as Singapore Team, there is no different who win the match. It must be Singapore Team. In this way, we have 4 teams competing the world and not only individual team.

Hence won Singapore the following Awards : Gold Alliance Award, Silver Alliance Award, Think Award, Innovation Award and Mentor Award.

title:{2007 1st National RoboPreneur Carnival}

The first national competition which Mr Wee planned and organised was the 1st National RoboPreneur Carnival on 25 May 2008 with 113 participating teams from 50 schools.

There were a total of 3 robotics events, 1 entrepreneur event and 1 RE Showcase.

The 3 robotics events were mainly, Maze Robot, Legged Sumo Robot and All Terrain Robot. The Maze Robot and the Legged Sumo Robot can only be built with unlimited Lego Parts and only 1 Processor (RCX or NXT).

The purpose of this is to allow beginners in robotics to have a head start in the Maze Robot Challenge, and for the advance and experienced students, a challenge in the Legged Sumo Robot. The Legged Robot Challenge also is new to Singapore.

The competition ended successfully with a handful of complains on the rules and regulations of the definition of legged. Firstly, this is expected because even the International Robot Olympiad Competition (IROC) which had organised more than 5 times, also had this problem even till date.
Hence we sincerely hope that Mr Wee will come out with a better defined definition for next year.
